slippy kitchen floor tiles

In the BTL the pervious owner placed a large black vinyl sheet on the kitchen floor, but this kept moving around the room. I ripped it up to discover tiles that were laid by the owner previous to him
They look OK, but walking on them is like entering a rink, hate to know what would happen if they were wet.
Think they actually are wall tiles which they put on the floor?
Any suggestions? Ta.

There is a product that is often used in commercial office buildings taht can be applied to floor tiles and stops people slipping when the floor gets wet. I've seen it in use and it does work. Can't remember whet it is called though. I is a clear solution so doesn't affect the colour of the tiles.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
