    Hi Bennifred,

re San Diego, I would certainly do downtown, and also check out the gaslamp quarter.

we also did a Padres baseball game, which was a great night out and such fun.

check out Escondido too for their Friday night Cruisin' Grand night http://www.driveonline.com/content/view/144/85/ - this was such a great night out and one we will definitely repeat this year. if you have teenage/20something sons, they would love it.

La Jolla is lovely, and this year we are also going to try the Del Mar horse races.

oh, and don't forget to have a go at surfing!

How does the Seven-Eleven phone card work that gets you Freephone calls home?

it gives you a free phone number which are nearly always free to use at hotels , call that and enter the pin number on the card and call the uk

$5 gives several hrs calling , most places sell the cards but we find the 7 eleven ones are best value

If you want to know the prices of everyday things, you can always check the companies website-walmart has a website, for example, with LOTS of everyday items on (And things you might buy on holiday, given the value of the dollar against the pound.) It's walmart.com

Paramonts GReat America is a brilliant theme park and much more geared to teenagers than disney. The rides are brilliant and the park itself is massive! Near ish to san fran. We used to live there when I was younger. Oh nostalga! Sizzler is great, and the salad bar there used to serve chicken so when we went, we used to just have that as kids....

Hi There if visiting San Diego you must visit the zoo, its a really great day out. Also a really good place to eat is peohe's just google it you will find it. Definately not mse but an amazing place, you get to see the whole of the sky line as you eat if you ask to sit outside. You are not rushed and the food is amazing. Also go to Coronado during the day, hire a bike and just cycle around, soak up the atmosphere you will see so much more than in a car. See the coronado hotel and buy a fridge magnet in the gift shop to remember your day....can you tell I love San Diego
