all good advice, thanks. Unfortunately we weren't even looking for a new place until I spotted this one so we're not prepared! Anyhow, I guess we'll just trust our luck and see what happens. If no one else offers we may get lucky, if someone does in a better position than us then that's that

It really is swings and roundabouts.

We thought our house, 3 bed mid-terrace, good condition, would sell really quickly so we looked as soon as our place went up for sale. We found straight away and offered but hadn't sold, they accepted the offer, only to accept a higher one 2 weeks later as we still hadn't sold.

We have now accepted an offer but can't find anything we like, and what we do seems to get snapped up straight away.

If you're meant to get that place you will, if not there is something better round the corner for you.

    Good luck.

    Hi all,

    Any advice on the following:

We're just putting our 2 bed flat on the market and have seen the house we would like to buy. Basically, we're not in the greatest position as currently have no buyer for ours. Any advice / tricks on how to secure the house we want. We have offered the asking price (which has been reduced by 45k so we're happy it's worth what we're offering).

Basically as soon as a FTB comes along we're stuffed so I want to know if there's anything we can do to secure it.

    Cheers
    Liz

If your 2 bed flat is in a "nice" area in Oxford, then it'll sell, as the market still seems to be moving pretty well in Oxford for smaller properties, particularly if they have off road parking!

Make sure you phone up your EA on a regular basis to make sure they're doing everything they can to sell it. Some EAs in Oxford are better than others...
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
