A&L Current Account offer

Do you still get £25 when you sign up to the A&L Current Account online? I've just opened one and sent off the 'recommend a friend' voucher but I can't find anything on their site anymore about the £25 when u sign up online, has that offer finished?

Also, didn't the interest rate used to 5.5% fixed? Was the rate reduced after the base rate dropped?

It is 5.5% fixed for those who opened account that time. Now it is 5% fixed until 30/09/06 for new customers.
