deposit deduction question.. re damp
Comments
-
umm i didnt say i had a claim so saying that the extent of my redecoration claim is greedy is really unfair and also accusing me of wanting it to fund a carole smillie redecoration is insulting!!!.... if i was such a greedy moneygrabbing landlord i wouldnt have let them out of a years contract 6months early would i?
oh and yes they did have my contact number and contacted me very quickly when they wanted to end their contract early and without giving any period of notice which i allowed them to do (despite me being such a greedy LL??!!)
i was merely asking for advice and i appreciate that from those who have not been insulting... i have had the flat some years and have never had a damp problem ever, it is basically one room and quite a few feet of the walls had black mould on it hence the redecoration required
i didnt say it was expensive damage i merely asked whether or not it was somethin i could make a deduction from the deposit for i never said i would withold ALL the deposit or even part i was asking for advice not insults
thanks to all of u who have answered my question helpfullyWhen you know better you do better0
