    one thing I forogot to say - is that - I don't actually mind them cutting me off - that part is fine, the part I object to is when they keep my credit balance on closure.

    Before we know it, all banks will be doing this also.....

    "Dear Mr Abramovich, you have not made any transactions on your high interest deposit account in the last 6 months, unfortunately 'terms & conditions' say thay we can close your account and keep all of your £12,000,000,000, do not hesitate to contact us if you wish to open a new account in the future."
  • I agree with you - contact them, it is UNUSED credit so you, I would imagine, you are entitled to it back

  • I agree with you there - just because everyone does something doesn't mean to say that it is the right thing to do.

    You should definitely contact them and see what they say. I have an Alpha account and am so glad you mentioned the 6-month thing I'll be sure to call up somewhere in the next few months... :D
