  • I like longleat anyway. I go about three times a year, have even seen lovely Mr. fogle a couple of years ago.

    Nah,
    ballox to em.
I do wish I lived closer to you guys.

    *WARNING-WALLOWING!*

This year has truly been the worst for me, ever.
Between jobs, marriages and other things, I cannot truly believe the absolute crap I have had to wade thru and frankly, my 'friendships' seemed to be a lot like my marriage, they seem great from the outside but without me putting the effort in, they fall to pieces. Is it because I don't let people really see how I am feeling and put a brave face on so they have no idea I am crying inside?

I even had a guy at work say to me, I didn't seem like a person who's 'World has fallen apart' (maybe because it hasnt but I certainly am sad...) I wish I could just go back to Canada.

    Sorry, wallow over.

Because people are intrinsically designed to cope, the brave face, the veneer of success, too close... it's only with the anonymity of the internet we can admit or explore the behind closed door stuff?

People get runs of bad luck, one thing after another and they still keep coming, each little thing wearing you down - if it's been a bad year and a chain of horrible things it's normal to react to the stress and normal to be affected... it's not a normal situation it's an extreme at the moment.

Do you mean back to Canada or to a point where you could have made a different path choice? There isn't a rewind but realistically you're less than half way through your life and whilst you can't change the past bad things, you can use what you've learned from them and build on the positives, you had kids with someone still willing to support them who's a good dad (a lot of people fail on that basic). It's a blank slate now. Scary probably but you're low so it's an upward trip and also an opportunity to explore some of those let's do something new.

Knowing Len as I do, I would hasten to say he likes the nipple burn as well...
