Hi
If I want to check on a share price/chart (Im big on trend being my friend) I usually just go to Yahoo Finance section. Its good for charts as you can add moving averages (which are supposed to be brill for the trend) plus candles & other stuff. It also has recommendations on whose buying/selling/holding & stuff.
Id be interested in knowing anything in particular you were looking at that was moving upwards.

I use http://www.moneyextra.com for no better reason than they were the first I came across. You will find the charting stuff on the bottom right of that page.0

Reaper, I'm after something with more TA than just charts (an awful lot more analytical than you're average web site, although as ever I'd prefer not to pay for it if I can help it).
Monkeydust, is this client s/ware as I did a search and couldn't find it (although there was a reference on one of the Trade2Win dicussion boards). Can you give me any websites??
Lendusapund, haven't tended to frequest the Yahoo finance site but I see what you mean they do have a large range of TA indicators. I'm really looking for some client based s/ware so that I can plot / save analysis.
Lendusapund, fyi I've been 'investing' for a number of years now. Investing is in quotes as its predominantly been via ISA's and collective investments, i.e. IT's, UT'sand OIEC's. A while ago I decided to try and be more active with my investments, so I liquidated about a third of my portfolio and opened up a basic dealing account. I don't think we are allowed to post shares so I'll PM you what is of interest to me atm. Please be aware that this will NOT be a recommendation to buy, merely sharing info.

https://www.capitalspreads.com - let me know if you decide to join up, I can throw £25 your way to get you started! A fiver on the FTSE with a tight stop perhaps! Trade2win is the best TA site out there hands down their wiki knowledge base is great and there is a good community spirit - remeber most of the participants are full time traders.
If you want good TA capitalspreads charts are ok - IG index has a better system and I use them for charting and capitalspreads for trading in fact.
What are you looking to trade though - Commodities, Indicies, Stocks - if so just UK?0 -
Have a look at
http://www.MoneyAM.com
http://www.ADVFN.com
http://www.iii.co.uk
I'm not sure where you live but the first site above, MoneyAM, also do quite inexpensive and informative 'get-togethers' around the country. These have both experienced and inexperienced levels of attendees as well as guest speakers and you'll learn quite a lot from them.
Another site to look at is at
http://www.sharescope.co.uk
(Do check out Sharescope Gold - a truly excellent 'end of day' daily updated product, and which you can try for 30 days FREE)0 -

Thanks for your replys / comments. Am primarily looking at UK stocks but with a view to possibly trade US indicies (as I can do this in the evening after work).
Monkeydust - Doh, feel a bit of a numpty now.
