Haven't stayed at the site for years but recently stayed in another Park Resort site up the road and visited Whitley Bay to use there swimming pool, we got into our swimming gear and went to get in and it was freeeeezing cold :eek: - 25 degrees according to the board, my oldest couldn't stand it and he'll swim in anything, my youngest was in tears, we ended up going back to our own site and using there warm pool.
Whitley Bay resort is a sorry state, a bit neglected and run down - it's so sad.
Cheap food - Wetherspoons pub next to Woolworths in the town or I noticed one of those cheap carvary pubs on the coast road to the north of the town.
