HB and CT

Hi, Im hoping someone can help me, my son aged 20 started work this week,

Im on income support but get an extra £25.85 because i am sick or disabled,

I'v tried the entitled to thingy, but there is no option about under 25 working full time, it has aged over 18 but working less than 16 hours,

So does anyone know if he will have to pay my full rent?

Or do i go off the calculation of non dependant in the bit where it says non dependant over 25 or over 18 but working less than 16 hours?

I will be contacting Housing office on Monday, but he got paid today and i need to know how much money to take off him before he spends it,

Thanks, geni62

No he will not have to pay your full rent, but there will be a non-dependant deduction take from your Housing Benefit. The amount depends on how much he earns and your Local Council can give you the details. The details of the amounts can be found on the following link : http://www.newcastle.gov.uk/core.nsf/a/wr_benefitrateshbctb

Thanks, I think i will phone local office tomorrow,
the main reason i was wondering was because as far as i know under 25s can't claim for a reduction if they were to have there own place,
He's wage this week was £176.20,
