Well I'm not a quad expert (two wheels too many;)) and have only used them off road
But the old kawasaki's etc are good bikes, and should be easier to get spares for than the cheap chineese stuff
Not sure what ones are legally allowed to carry a pillion though? Most of the ones I've seen say rider only

Also if you run off road tyres on road they'll be noisy and won't last long, but on-road tyres could leave you stuck in the mud :p
  • I had a suzuki quad and it was really reliable. Spares and parts will not be a problem unless you scrimp too much and go for a cheapo Chinese/Jap import.
If you go through proper channels, they will advise you on the best model for your requirements.
Remember that you will also need insurance and if you buy the vehicle unregistered, you will have to have it inspected by your local DVLA office.
Quadzilla are the leading brand of road-legal quads. My brother has one and has had no trouble with it.
;)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)
