Difference to premium after accidental damage claim...

I am considering whether to make a claim following accidental damage (it would be re-wallpapering a room). My excess is £100, which is much less than the work and materials will cost but I want to know how much it will affect my future premiums.
My combined buildings and contents has been around the £250 mark and I had another claim in Feb 2007.
Thanks in advance!

Just visit one of the online aggregators and run a quote with an extra claim noted and see what comes up.0

Another thing to bear in mind is that insurance is going up (just like food bills). The floods in June and July 2007, not to mention the 18/01/07 storms and 2 earthquakes in the space of 11 months have not helped.
When your policy falls due for renewal, it may be higher than you are paying now regardless of whether you claim or not.
The decision on whether to claim rests with you. Not knowing how much damage you have suffered or what the cause was, it is difficult to advise you. If you don't want to claim, can you paint the room instead of replacing the paper? It may be a cheaper alternative and something you could do yourself rather than having a decorator in. Just remember to put dust sheets down to protect the carpet!!In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0
