Although a company can ask to see them, you do not have to provide them. I would suggest you send another SOA and tell them this is all the information they require.*Official DMP Mutual Support Club Member No 147**Official DFW Nerd Club Member No 923*I have no idea what I'm talking about!0

Definatley they are not entitled to see anything like that nor bank statements. Just send another statement of affairs or budget sheet. You don't even have to fill in forms they may send requesting details just one of your own statements is enough.0

However they do have the right not to enter into an agrrement with you.0

I certainly do not have anything to hide . What i have put on my SOA is genuine i just did not think they could request them . None of the other companies have .0

I personally would never send wage slips unless information was blanked out. If they include employer information then the DCA has another form to contact you....
But, they can certainly request them. They are permitted to do as much as a court could if they took it further for a CCJ which is asking for proof of income. Proof of expenditure is taken at face value though (Unless excessive).
As someone else has mentioned, buy not sending the wage slips, the creditor can chose to refuse to enter into a payment plan and will blame you for not co-operating! (of course, they may not - as well all know with DCA's there are no hard and fast rules!) If the wages are spot on to your SOA, consider sending them but with your employeers details blanked out. *If* this went further at any point, you are always in the position that you did everything possible.0 -
The advice on national debtline is not to send any details bar a budget sheet as they simply are not entitled too. I had Lloyds request mine and told them they were not entitled to them and they accepted my budget sheet and the plan.0

Rayday - Thats not the info I can find on National Debtline. They advise that creditors are allowed to ask for proof and you may want to help them out with "reasonable requests" - they also point out though that if a creditor asks for proof of bills you can point out that a court would not ask for that sort of information.
I am looking at the England/Wales one though - and there is so much info there to take in!0 -
I would rather show a credit company a utility bill than a wage slip. What is the point even if you blank out all the identifying factors who is to say that you have supplied your wage slip?0

I agree. There is no common sense or logic to anything!!!
But as the DCA has asked for the wage slips, I would be inclined to send them without the employer info. If thats not enough, then tough luck and take me to court, but I am thick skinned and can deal with it. If you are avoiding things like court etc then pandering to the creditor helps.
I have decided over time that its almost as if the creditors deliberately do this to stall for time so they can slap more charges on.
Actually, as a side thought, have you applied for a signed copy of the CCA, Sparkle?? Will cost £1 and is the signed consumer credit agreement that is required to make the debt enforceable. So some searching on the boards, there are lots of threads and templates banded about for it.0
