Tart Alert - A different approach

Hi Guys
Are we sitting comfortably, then we will begin.....
I was most upset last year to find out that I had been driving around in my car without a valid MOT for 3 weeks, I found out when I went to renew my car insurance and found out that the MOT had expired. As I was learning a new programming language at the time I decided to try and write something similar to Tart Alert which would tell me when my MOT would be due. This I have done http://www.mot-forget-me-not.co.uk .
This is a complete free service to anyone, the site only asks for your name to personalise emails sent to you and email address obviously. the information you put in can be what you want. I have found it most useful and I use it for my anniversary and birthdays etc, in fact it can be used for any reminder. when you put in a reminder it will send you 3 emails, one at 4 weeks before, 2 weeks before and 2 days before the event ( just put in the date of the event itself and it calculates the dates to send the emails) when you have done something about the event you can reset the date ( for birthdays etc) or delete it, if you do nothing it will email you again after a week telling you, then if you do nothing more for another week it will automatically be deleted.
Hope this is useful to other people too

Also can put into your mobile under alerts and phone will sound on that day and tell you why.0

Thanks Paul2463, that'll be really useful for house insurance etc as well, plus the 1 month warning gives time to think of a present, if necessary, for birthdays.0
