My challenge for the next 30 days 16.5.08

Hi everyone!
I have been lurking on various threads (that sounds awful) ok reading various threads when I have time and have slipped badly. I should have paid off a lot more than I have and now that i have finished beating myself over the head have decided to do a 30 day challenge just to try and keep myself on the straight and narrow and not over spend on my budget. I get paid mid month (yesterday) and have done my spreadsheets and I know I can manage (I can I can) I just need to take my head out of the sand.
So here we are:
Day 1 15th took out £20 and bought a kebab for me and hubby. The rest of the cash will be locked in a drawer at work for the inevitable "retirement/birthdays/bonus ball" items that crop up.
Day 2 today - no spending as such but have shifted my grocery money over taking into account the £20 I took out yesterday.
However I am NOT tumble drying my washing even though it's chucking it down out there and have made sure the dish washer is really full before putting it on.
I will do my clicks in a mo although it takes forever to get anywhere these days!
Take care all

Shopping today!
I feed the dogs barf (bones & raw food) so stocked up at the butchers for £32.47 which also included some potatoes for me and 3 packs of mince.Oh and faggots and peas for tea.
The dogs are currently eyeing up some bones I bought for them!
Went to Lidl and spent £18.95 on basic type stuff + concentrated washing liquid. While I was there I made some notes and have decided that asda is better for:
cooked meat
fairy tabs (have tried shop own and didn't find it so good)
bathroom mouse foam
ice cream (:o)
ladies personal stuff
loo roll
goats milk
So hopefully no spends now until the week.
Take care all

No spending today!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have cleaned through and will mow the lawn later, got some puter stuff to do first. Teen next door demanded three times to cut my hedges for "a cheap price". I said no I could do it myself. he started getting a bit arsy so I practically bellowed "NO" in his face. think he got the message then!
have a good day all,

Hi, 1step, well done on the daily notes.
Have you tried using Stardrops for cleaning, as highly recommended on the Oldstyle Board? Very effective, very cheap, and a bit kinder to the environment than aerosol mousses/foams etc.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Actually I have used Stardrops but they never seemed to clean my bathroom as well as I like. Perhaps I am just fussy! The rest of the house gets cleaned with a trust microfibre cloth and a spray bottle mixture of washing up liquid and zoflora as I really like the smell.
The bathrom mouse is £1.08 and lasts me a month so not bad I think!

Hi all
Spent £4.50 today - tobacco which will last approx 1 week and some chocolate for me hubby and SD, as wee'd been to hospital to visit his nan who i am very close to. so chocolate justified it I think.

What a good idea. It's very motivating to come on here. I'm on all the time and the days I spend more time here, the less I spend as it keeps it in the forefront of my mind I think. Good luck. It sounds like you're doing well.
