Google Earth

Can anyone please tell me how to get a site and or photo listed on Google Earth ie when you search a village you see various dots of sites of interest?

    Go to add in the toolbar scroll down to photo or there is a yellow drawing pin for adding your points of interest

    Thank you for your reply, can you please tell me if I do the above is it registered on Google Earth it's self or just my computer ie will the pin and comments be visable to other users looking at that area?

    http://www.panoramio.com provide the photos for goggle Earth. I have had several images on there myself and also had some images moved to the correct place in my location

    I think goggle Earth is provided free as they get revenue from advertising from certain businesses and some are shown on the map

    I've noticed that some of the POIs have personal photos and details, I've not looked into adding those yet, but there must some kind of restrictions or the maps would be full, the drawing pin thingy is handy, I like google earth, it's fun flying around the globe, http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/ubbthreads.php/Cat/0 there are lots of sites like this with spots of intrest or extra downloads.

    This is more update maps and the bird eye view in much better.

    My location was only done last year and about 7 year wait, not all areas have the birds eye view

    If I only use the pin thingy in Google Earth are they there for all to see?

    No, what you do on your own map is your own business, as far as I know, Google earth has lots of fun features too, have you tried the flight simulator mode? You can fly about to your hearts content, can't shoot things though :(

    it is good but it is annoying that everywhere isnt covered by the birds eye view. i wanted to look at manchester and even a big city like that doesnt have the birds eye facility.
