ICESave/ICICI Statements - Paper or Pdf Web mailed?

Options
Hello,

I understand when opening and operating an ICICI savings Hisave account, you do not recieve any postal paper hard copy statements, which is great to prevent fraudulent activities.

When you open a ICESave account, do you recieve anything by paper hard copy? It states on their website that you recieve a statement once per year, is this my e-mail, or by paper postal mail to your home address?

Thanks.

When you open an ICEsave account, you will get a hard copy letter from them, confirming the account number and the terms and conditions, etc. Also, whenever you transfer any of the monies to a fixed term saver, you get a letter of confirmation of the transaction. Once a year you get a hard copy letter of tax which you keep in case the I R people want to see it at any time.

I've received no tax statements from the either. Admin not a strong point with these banks imho.

I use both of these Banks and can confirm that ICESave send an ANNUAL paper statement for their Easy Access A/C (Just got Mine) and, ICICI send a very comprehensive MONTHLY paper statement with details of all accounts held, I have Current, HiSave easy access and, Fixed Term accounts with ICICI and, I know exactly where I stand every month. The ICICI website is a bit of a challenge until you work out the Indian way of doing things, once you get used to their methods and terminology then, absolutely first class bank!

If you are worried about mail security perhaps you need to ask them about stopping mailout of statements and making arrangements to download them yourself as needed. I think that I am fortunate in not having any problems with mail security and, I ensure all sensitive documents are shredded before disposal. (Its second nature now).

My only issue with ICESave is that they are incredibly slow in clearing funds, 10 working days is good going for them. I dont know if its an Icelandic thing as I also use Kaupthing and they are also painfully slow. They both make the typical Building Society pace of clearing transactions look Ultrafast.

Interesting, have you been with either for more than 1 year? I have both easy access and fixed rate products with both of these banks, but only since January 08 and I have received no tax statement so far.

I've started having tax statements from my various savings accounts over the past couple of weeks - still coming in - got my Standard ISA one yesterday. So they obviously do them at the financial year end and send them out around now-ish.

I have never in three years recieved anything by paper mail from the ICICI savings Hisave account .

I only have one Hisave savings account, anyone else similar?

12.Will I receive any statements for my HiSAVE Savings Account? Yes, we will also send you an annual statement to your registered email address at the end of the year. Also, You may view statements of your HiSAVE Account by logging into your HiSAVE Account by using internet banking. The statements will remain online for 12 months from the statement date.
