i wish ppl wouldnt be so selfish as to sell them on ebay, if i couldnt go on mine, id gladly give mine away to someone here, some ppl are so desperate when others are genuinely after a freebie holiday, honestly youd think companies would now have something about selling things on nowadays.

I posted the link on here so fellow MSE can have a great free holiday and have the oppertunity to meet up with other MSE. Please do not sell them on Ebay , many people here would not have the chance of a holiday without this offer and although this is a money saving forum I woud like to think this forum is also about helping others. I am looking forward to my free break on the 18th July at Hemsby with the kids and they are really excited to be going back to Hemsby as they love it there

Okay so part of me can see where your coming from, particularly if your one of the people who missed out.

    HOWEVER...

I don't really see it as money grabbing. The ethos of this site is 'moneysaving' and if you have legitimately won something isn't it your right to sell it on?

Why should any of us stand as judge and jury over another to say what is right or wrong in this instance. I think its quite resourceful actually and as long as its not abused (one person trying to get LOADS of holidays and selling them on) really what is the harm.

As a person who enters competitions I occassionally win prizes that I'm not that keen on. For example I won 2 tickets to a festival worth £240. I couldn't go so I sold them on ebay. The £180 I received certainly helped towards that summers school uniform and towards expenses on our annual holiday.

Statements like the one quoted above don't make me angry

    or shocked:eek:

They just make me feel

Oh, just to clarify, I have a weekend in Camber Sands which I will not be selling on ebay.

personally i dont think its right to win a holiday knowing full well that you are going to sell it on ebay within the first few days of the competition opening

genuine people out there like myself cannot afford a holiday so go into this competition with the intention of going on the actual holiday

and if this offer is abused in this way then pontins may discontinue this offer and genuine people will lose out

I think it would be ashame if people who put these on ebay to sell, sold them for a lot of money and then didnt get paid, epecially having to pay the selling fees aswell they could end up out of pocket    , oh dear me and my thinking out loud i hope i havent given anyone any ideas ;););)

I just phoned the freephone number and i quoted pw19 and was told offer all gone sorry and was just about to put phone down, so i said what about pw28 and she said hold on, asked me where id got the code from so i said manchester newspaper and she said ok then

didnt get free hol but got prestatyn 11th july and i paid £40, well i think thats a bargain:j

So dont quote pw19 TRY pw28.

This is still a great offer, as I believe you get the option of a w.e. instead of weekday break and the accommodation is upgraded to a 2 bedroom classic instead of budget grade which also includes free linen.
