    Haven't you seen the adverts..............

Piracy is responsible for Terrorism, organised crime, and their probably child molestors as well:rolleyes:

which means you shouldn't walk around london with a pirate dvd in your ruck-sack:eek:

Whilst I agree that this guy is a moron and his attitude stinks, surely there are better things to worry about than pirated discs. You can buy them all over ebay and I welcome it. Its better than paying over-inflated UK prices. Its this reason there is so much pirated stuff out there.
The point was, he was passing them off as originals. I admit, you would have to be pretty stupid to expect the real deal with that price-tag, but would you really pay anything for pirated films/software? Surely that's what p2p is for. ;)
  • ebay dont really care what u put on for sale well i dont mean drugs,. im talkin about these psp ,backup dvds, chiped ps2 xbox etc etc if it goes thru ebay dont care,. all u got is ppl reporting it too ebay where ebay make £$££$£ and u just report it too them and get a cyber pat on the back,. ok if some ones selling them as originals and the price is very low then if the person buying it thinks its originals really needs to get a cat scan,.

fair play too the guy but if hes conning ppl then of course report it
  • It's pretty obvious they're copies...any buyers have got to balance any savings in the cost of buying chipped consoles/pirated software with the costs if the consoles go belly up....no guarantee and no chance of the guy repairing it or refunding.

Plus if eBay would rather take the cash than stop these people....whaddya gonna do???

These people are a minor annoyance, just like the 'Get your free ipod' brigade. At least this one made good use of dutch auctions to minimise his clutter on ebay. It's the ones that have 50+ listings on the go with keyword spamming that I tend to report.

Anyway, if people want to report sellers for doing dodgy things, I don't see the harm in it.

Haha. That advert annoys me though... they are using shock tatics to try and turn public opinion. Heard it all before even back to the days of "Home taping is killing music" ads. Same **** different decade.

When did you hear about a person who was caught with a mass pirate CD/DVDs operation being involved in organised crime? They weren't - they were too busy making money out of pirate discs!

  • excuse me nerds .

How was these sold as orignals when it said in the ad that these dvds come on dvd-r's and you need to transfer them to your memory card??

Some people like andyblizz and chompie need to understand thats the way it is out there, people dont want to pay 30 quid plus for games anymore,

we all know how much it takes to make a game, probaly less than a pound !

and all that crap chompie talking about it leads to Terrorism etc is all aload of rubbish and we all know it,

just a guy trying to make a couple of quid!
