"Vehicle Check", strange transactions!

Options
Hello, I hope that someone can help me shed some light on this. I checked my online bank statement and found two debit card payments of £19.99 on the same day (9th May) to 'Vehicle Check' - this would appear to be a service to check whether a used vehicle is legit. I know I haven't used this service as I have not considered buying a vehicle - I don't even drive! I have emailed the bank and got a reply stating that if I dispute a transaction I should initally contact the retailer, but I have no idea who the 'retailer' is. I have googled 'Vehicle Check' and discovered that the DVLA, Experian and several other companies provide this service. I am not massively worried as I only keep a small amount of money in my debit card account to use for shopping and my income and direct debits all go through another account with no debit card, for security reasons! but am still concerned in case some car dealer who carries out multiple vehicle checks is using my card details through error or fraud and that the transactions will keep on appearing.

Has anyone else had this problem!
cheers, Cat
