I'm 64 and remember a bit of OS from childhood and my Mum having to make ends meet.
Also remember well days before we had central heating and times spent at grans with electric but no water in the cottage -well in the garden and later next door's outside tap - bucket loo down the yard,hens, home grown veg etc.
Just me, OH and one lad we foster at home now.Mary
