Hi. I wasn't sure where to put this request.
I was wondering if anyone in the canterbury area has seen any signs in shops windows for jobs. I am moving down in several weeks and need to line up a job. i would appreciate any input.

Have you had a look at jobcentreplus online? Also try out the local rag for sits vac or fish4jobs which will give an indication of whats on offer.

I live in the Thanet area and i know that that the council often need people to work on the beaches throughout the Summer. Is it a temporary of full time job you are looking for?
What about the department stores, they have a few and you can look online for any vacancies. plus they have an Asda, and Sainsburys that i know of.

depending on where you want to work Canterbury has alot of larger chain shops that offer recrutiment through a main website, there are plenty of bars, restaurants and pubs but bar work is pretty hard to find unless you go door to door and ask. To increase your chances it is likely that you'll find more work during the summer as people graduate and move away.
