Have you had a look at jobcentreplus online? Also try out the local rag for sits vac or fish4jobs which will give an indication of whats on offer.0

Hi Sandie,
I live in the Thanet area and i know that that the council often need people to work on the beaches throughout the Summer. Is it a temporary of full time job you are looking for?
What about the department stores, they have a few and you can look online for any vacancies. plus they have an Asda, and Sainsburys that i know of.0 -
depending on where you want to work Canterbury has alot of larger chain shops that offer recrutiment through a main website, there are plenty of bars, restaurants and pubs but bar work is pretty hard to find unless you go door to door and ask. Kent Uni has a good track record for part time work for students http://www.kentunionjobshop.co.uk/ otehr good sites are http://www.jobsinkent.com and http://www.kentjobs.co.uk
To increase your chances it is likely that you'll find more work during the summer as people graduate and move away.
Hope that helps anyway, Canterbury is a great place to live!0
