now out of work, will i still get child tax credits

Hello,

after being very unhappy at work i left my job on saturday and am currently looking for a new job, but at the same time i am thinking about starting an access to nursing course instead.
we have one child and my husband works fulltime.
the main issue is we are on a very tight budget with our DMP so would have to see where we could make cut backs etc.
does anyone know if i will still be entitled to the £42.09 i get from child benefit per month? i have never had working tax and just assumed child tax was simply to help just like child benefit.

You maybe entitled to more child tax credit and even working tax credits depending on your dh's income. Try entitledto.com.

I did the access course and now just completed my first year at uni, good luck!
