Opinions on Sauce Pans wanted

Annoyingly, my Le Creuset saucepan has had its handle break off along with the cast iron "lug" that it goes into, so the pan is now useless. So recommendations please for a new saucepan or small set (I need some additional pans anyway).
I don't want another Le Creuset if the handles can do that. I can't stand "non-stick" "Teflon Coated" stuff. I suspect I am looking at Stainless Steel and a search around comes up with the following names:
Brabantia
Viners
Prestige
Judge
Stellar
So far I fancy the Stellar 9000 stuff and I notice other Stellar pans got good comments in a recent-ish thread on frying pans.
All comments gratefully received.

Stellar pans in our house - as seen on almost every cooking show on TV (I think James Martin endorses them now). All at least 10 years old and still look brand new.0

Good food mag usually has adverts and special deals on Viners (if you know anyone with a subscription) - just wish I could afford 'em :rolleyes:Newlywed at the point I joined the forum... now newly separated0

Yes looks like it.
http://www.lecreuset.co.uk/Default.aspxWe guarantee* all our Cast Iron products for a lifetime*, except non-stick coated products which carry a 10 year guarantee*.Newlywed at the point I joined the forum... now newly separated0 -
They don't guarantee against someone dropping the pan handle first, I've asked. They would replace it if it were a manufacturing defect, but said manufacturing defects like casting faults tend to show up fairly quickly from new. I've had these a couple of years so more likely the pan was dropped and the break not noticed at the time.onamission wrote: »i thought le creuset came with a lifetime guarantee??A house isn't a home without a cat.

Another option which has served us well for many years is John Lewis own brand.
Even several year on, our set still looks like new.0 -
I spent a fortune on stellar pans ages ago and they are still going strong. I would recommend them to anyone.
Just as a thought - check out Lakeland, they do have some stainless steel, they are on quidco and they have a phenomenal customer service attitude to returns and help - they are brilliant.
You also may get some really good ideas if you post on the Old Style Board.Always another chapter0 -
I had a set of cooks essential pans bought for me from QVC. They are wonderful. So good i ditched all the others i had and everytime anyone asks me what i want as a present i say anything from cooks essential.

Another vote for John Lewis. Mine are five years old and still look good as new (clean them with Astonish, now and then).
I just have the "plain vanilla" classic range. They're excellent on and in the AGA, which is quite a challenge!Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac
