IB and Share dividends

Quick question if anyone knows.

If you are IB and have shares and have dividends do they count as income or as investments such as interest off savings.

Woodbine is correct and the dividends would not affect your Incapacity Benefit. The only time your IB would be reduced would be if you have a Pension over £85 per week.

Thanks I well aware it is not means tested.

But you can only work 16 hours a week and have an income £90 ish a week.

That is why I wanted to know if share dividends are treated like interest from savings so investments or if it was classed as income. Even though you have not worked any hours to get the money.
