Call International from Sky talk

I am new here in this room. I really need advise what I should do.
At home, we have used "sky talk" for around 1 year. I normally call Thailand and France ( both mobile).
1. When I call Thailand I use 08448612121. It says call charges are 1 P per minute.
2. When I call france I use 08445667566. It says call charges are 5 P per minute.
I never check my phone bill- itemised. I looked at my bill this morning and my bill around £36. "Better than last month" I thought. However, I have checked the itemised for France and I noticed that I have not been charged 5 P per minute. They charge me sometimes 10 P per minute, sometimes 7 P per minute..I think it may depends on time that I called.
Then I look for the call to thailand, Sky charged me 7 p Per minute for my 1 minute call to Thailand, instead of 1 p for that one.
And this are not include VAT...so I would pay more than that. I checked the bill for the last a couple of months. And I found out that I never paid 5 p or 1 p per minute for those calls.
What should I do? How does it work exactly. If I had not used sky talk, Would I be charged 1 p and 5 p from BT?
I am thinking that every month I have been overpaid. My bill this month should be £18 instead of £36.
Should I call SKY to complain or should I just accept it and use other number or other way to call those countries?
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the MSE forums cjdj.
I think you may have overlooked the call connection charge in the examples you give (the prices of most 0844 numbers are 'at any time' so it's unlikely the time of day of your calls can have affected what you were charged).
Anyway, do you still pay your line rental direct to BT? If you do, Sky Talk is your CPS (Carrier PreSelect) calls provider so you can use the 1280 prefix to force an individual call to go out on BT (at BT's rates).
Similarly, you could use 1899, 18185 or 18866 for cheaper international calls and not start paying halfway through the dialling process (as you do with the gateway providers you have been using).
Please see the HERE link in my signature below (amongst other things, you'll see I recommend using the 1280 prefix for all 0844, 0871 and 0872 calls).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
