Hi im going to Africa next summer to work on a game reserve for 6 weeks.

Has anyone done this before? and what things to i need to organise (like visa's / money etc) I have never been there before.

Any help would be really appreciated.

I'm going to Tanzania in October to work in an orphanage for 6 weeks - things I have thought about are

- flights (I need a internal flight as well as an international one, don't know about you)
- asking my airline about charitable extra luggage so I can take extra things out with me (nappies, baby clothes etc)
- jabs (speak to your doctor at least 3 months before travel. You may have to pay for some e.g. yellow fever)
- visa (for Tanzania, if you are working there for over 4 weeks a tourist visa on entry isn't sufficient)
- spending money (Tanzanian shillings are a cloaed currency so need to change when I get there)
- accommodation by the airport for the night before I fly home, as getting a morning flight back)
- clothing
