Skyrocket price increase of some food products

Options
Unfortunately I buy 10-12 tins of evaporated milk per week. (Husband says it is the only thing comparable to Coffee Milk in Holland). Last year I was still able to pick cans of milk up for as .29pence per can. Then the price all of a sudden jumped to something like .37 or 39 per can. These were store brand names. This went on for a couple of months and the price came back down but stayd at about .33 pence per tin. Now in about the last 6 weeks it has totally skyrocketed.. that same tin if your lucky you might find for .47 or 49. But most places even Lidl's are charging .55 a tin. I have tried asking store managers what is going on ....they dont know. Morrison's even had the nereve to change their brand to a tetra box with claim signs saying we are reducing waste... I think this was to hopefully trick the customer into not noticing they are now charging .47 for 340g tetra compared to .33 previously for 410g tin. This is highway robbery.. Has someone corner the evaporated milk market and holding it hostage??? Anyone Know??icon8.gif
