How much to wire in cooker hood?

Just a quick question. If I do all the donkey work of fitting the cooker hood what price would I be looking at to get someone to wire it to a double pole switched fused spur outlet (London prices please!)?

Thanks

    Can you not do it?

If you are fitting the hood then you should be more than capable of wiring in the three wires into the fused switch. Or is the fused switch not there at the minute? If not then you will probably need a leccy to fit that, so ignore me!! :D

No fused switch there at the moment, all I have is the fused switch for an electric cooker (which I wont be using) can I run a spur from this to plug my fan into?

Yes you can, just make sure you use the same cable (10mm?) as is used to the switch. BTW any work in the kitchen/ bathroom is notifiable I think.

I would not suggest giving specific advice, there are a few things that have to be taken into account, existing condition of the electrics in the house, bonding etc.

You should use a competent person for the work, links below
