Advice on a usb midi/soundcard connection for PC

Hi

Looking to connect a digital midi piano to my PC (running Windows XP) to use Cubase in the simplest and cheapest reliable way possible.

I have an old Yamaha CBX-T3 sound module (still working!) but have lost the serial port connector.

A friend has suggested using a usb midi connection.

Any advice or bargains to be found?

Im my experience in MIDI, the only place I have ever seen a USB connection from a keyboard work very well was on an apple mac. Your going to have problems detecting it on a PC, ie choosing the port etc in Cubase but I am not sure. I suggest buying another midi lead, they are pretty cheap ish nowadays
