Can anyone suggest which of these two capped rates we should go with. We want to cap our gas and electricity. We currently have a monthy direct debit with Atlantic of 22 pounds per month for gas and 12 pounds a month for electricity. We have found the following on price compasisons websites:
E-on's Price Promise till Oct 2009
Scottish Power Fixed Price Online NSC fixed till Feb 2011 (sounds too good to be true?!?)
Any advice welcome. Thanks.

Firstly ignore the DD ammount for a moment and concentrate on the price per Kwh, i.e. what you are paying now versus what the rates are on the fix.
It is hard to give advice one way or another as all regions have different prices for electricI have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

In that case look at the unit prices for atlantic and e.on for the Norweb and Manweb regions - if your supply number (on your bill) says S16 I think it is Norweb - otherwise you're probably Manweb supply region
