Is this MP3 any good ?

Is this MP3 any good

http://ws4.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=I-RIV-IFP180

I know it will only hold a few songs, but I am on the computer every day so I could change the tracks easy enough.

It just seems a good introduction for £30 and it has a radio aswell.

Will I be able to use my music in my itunes library with the I River ? or can you only use itunes with ipods etc ?

or what do you think to this ? http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/commerce/servlet/gben-server-PageServer?ARTICLE=MAIN.UK.INTERNET.STATIC.MOTE1LP

As I need a new mobile phone and this one will provide more space for songs ?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

  • Hmmm, decisions, decisions, personally I would go for thr Iriver MP3, as it seems good value for £30, plus you get the radio too, then again you do need a new mobile phone.

You can use music in your itunes library with your Iriver, you will probably just need to transfer them from the itunes library to whatever software the Iriver uses.
You can't con an honest man!
  • I would rather grab one of these

Of course, iRiver is a good brand but then, twice as much memory and half price :)
  • It is expensive for the lack of memory as you can get cheaper players with more memory. However, I have seen the cheaper ones and they feel and look really tacky with average sound quality.

If you want a player that has excellent sound and build quality then get the iriver, as it is better than the ipod in terms of sound. The headphones that come with it are also great (Sennheiser mx300) Another bonus is that you can play wma files on it.

The iriver will come with its own software and so itunes wouldn't be compatible but if you upgrade the firmware for the iriver, you can drag and drop mp3s onto the player as it acts like a flash drive.

I don't like the look of the new moto ROKR. Instead keep an eye out for the Nokia N91.

Buy it! Your only problem that you will have with it is probably the lack of memory!
  • If sound quality is priority get the i-river.

If capacity/price is your criteria look elsewhere.

    I-river sound is superb
