Can I have IE and Firefox at the same time?

Hi guys,

Sorry for the probably totally stupid question but I really am not that PC literate.

DS has found a site that needs Firefox to be installed to use it. So can I have both or do I need to get rid of IE.

On AOL by the way.

TIA

Yes I have IE, Firefox and Opera.

This may not matter to you but I set mine up to use different java's, IE uses the banned Microsoft version and Firefox uses the Sun version.

One thing that you may want to try is the IE Tab Firefox add-on. Use Firefox as your default browser and if necessary you can easily switch to use the IE renderer at the click of your mouse. More details here.

IE is embedded into most flavours of windows.

Many people use other browsers, so yes it's possible to use Firefox and IE.

Same way people have Nero to burn CDs on their PC even though Windows can burn CDs itself too. Or someone may have Nero, Alcohol 120 and Clone to burn discs. Same way people may use Corel Paint Shop Pro even though Windows comes with Paint,

I'd 2nd the IE tab add on for firefox. You can specify sites which must use internet explorer and firefox will open them with an IE tab. Does that make sense.

Yeah, I too use IE Tab for Firefox, for the odd website that misbehaves.

I've just followed the link from Expresso and downloaded what I hoped would give me the icon next to the homepage icon,so I could switch from Firefox to IE, but it isn't there, any suggestions please
