I'm new to all this savings lark - having had debts all my life, I've just paid off my last one :j
I now have £10k to invest and have looked at this one:
http://www.britanniainternational.com/eggcbond.html
I live on an offshore island, so this is applicable to me. We can't do ISA's over here unfortunately. I wouldn't need the money for 5-10 years.
I just wondered what your views were? I have no-one IRL I can ask, so thought I'd ask you experts on this forum.
Thanks,
Jess

These are investment linked....is that something you want? The rate of return based on todays general consensus figures will be a lot smaller....
If its pure savings you are after - have a look at this...at £10K minimum

Thanks for the link - to be honest I don't know what I want to do!
Like I say, I've got no-one in real life that could advise me and I don't want to pay for an IFA. At the moment, it's sitting in my Smile Savings account at about 4.25%, so although not terrible, I want to make a bit more interest.
I couldn't decide between Landsbanki or the Britannia Bond. To be honest, I don't really understand it all - I'm not stupid, but it's such a minefield out there.
It's just a shame I can't do an ISA as I'd just got my head round that idea, but never mind!
Thanks,

Doesnt matter what type. If you are not UK resident or in one of allowable groups you cannot have an ISA.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
