You will get on fine too, I'm sure.:D I found that the more courses I did the essay construction got easier. Sure you will find units/blocks/books that are like wading through treacle at times  but you will also find others that really interest and engage you.:j Focus on those because they will be easier to revise and largely ignore the ones that dont...its better to know 2 or 3 topics really well than have a superficial knowledge of the whole course. Decide as soon as poss what essay interests you and focus on the reading for that, you can be pretty selective in what you read and what you revise and make the most of course conferences on FC....they are invaluable:T:hello: :jEternal Optimist:j:hello:BR 22.09.08:staradmin BSC Member 201:staradmin0 -

It is important to realise that although some people seem to think you need to read ALL of the course material, or answer ALL the exercises in the booklets, this is not the case.
Best thing to do, if you are strapped for time, is to work your way back from TMA's and past exam questions, and make sure you can give a reasonable answer to prior exams. Work out what is normally asked in an exam, and how to answer it, and you will be ahead of 80% of the other students;) Only after you do this, do you read all the rest of the gubbins;)
Also, turning up to all the tutorials if at all possible gives you a major advantage, since most people don't. Remember, the tutor KNOWS what it takes to pass your course well... 1 hour in a tutorial is like 2 on your todd at home:rotfl:“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Thanks. Ive started with Y156 Understanding children, which I was really enjoying until I got to the part that said ESSAY  My tutor is very understanding and I have until beginning of next week to get something to her. We have agreed that instead of the essay I will do 4 points, send it off to her and then she will send it back for me to do a begining and an end.
I have had my next course - Y157 Understanding society - sat here for 2 days, completely unopened, toooooo scary lol.
I have reserved a place on DD100 for october. If I could just get past the essay issues I think I will be ok
Forgot to add I did K100 years ago and hated every minute of it lol.0 -

K100 was my first course way back in 2003, not my favourite, but in retrospect it turned out to be quite a good foundation course for courses I went on to do. DD100 is really popular and although it is 6 or 7 essays there is no exam at end :T :rotfl::hello: :jEternal Optimist:j:hello:BR 22.09.08:staradmin BSC Member 201:staradmin0
