previous years tax credit claim wrong

Hi all was wondering if anyone could help with my rather complex question?
i have just completed a renewal form for tax credits and have just realised that for the past four years i have not been deducting the correct amount of personal pension my husband pays from our income figure(i have corrected this on this years form)
so for four years i have actually done myself out of money!
at one stage i was asked to send in proof of what he paid which i did, but even then they never picked up that i had given them wrong figure(and why would they)
problem is i do owe them an overpayment from 2003 can i ask that they look again at the last four years to take into account my error which would result in me having been underpaid for four years and so probably cancel out this overpayment!
kind regards

No Im afraid not. Once you have made your legal declaration for a tax year, the award becomes final and cannot be changed unless tax credits made a mistake or there is fraud involved. Im afraid you've lost out.0
