plastering price

hi all,
is there a per square metre price for plastering.

our house is approx 10 years old, the previous owner artexed the ceilings, how much to reskim a room 15 ft * 12.

also how much to skim the walls of the same room.

i have other rooms that need similar work, i am in south debyshire.

    £70 per wall/ceiling is a good ball park figure to go by.

    Thats what I charge anyway :)

    Wheres south Derbyshire anyway?

    £70.00 for an artex ceiling Nelly are you sure? I think that for that price you may get someone with a little less experience shall we say. Almost twenty pounds would go on materials for the ceiling as you would require bonding agent as well as the skim. The bonding agent would take time to dry therefore making the labour charge higher than a straight skim. We are extremely competitive but would expect to charge more than that!!

    Hi Jason_s thought so, I have read his posts. But don't you agree there is artex and then there is ARTEX christmas cake style and we have had a few of those in our time as I am sure both you and Nelly have!!

    Oh yes:eek: , in some cases, i think the whole bloody house is held together with artex :rotfl:

    Right what I meant was £350 per room-ish.

    Just ceilings are a different thing.

    They would be £100 to £150 depending on how many and how bad they are

    And I dont even know where any of derbyshire is come to think :)
