Hello all! Feeling chipper today, 2 lots of good news. Both thanks to Big G being the kinda guy who likes to have insurance, me i figure it's another bill so why bother! (except car insurance obviously, cause that's illegal!)

I cooked a Radley handbag on sunday afternoon, piled up wet washing on top of the unit next to cooker. Took washing into garden must've caught the knob for halogen hotplate, bit of smoozing about sunny garden and bobs your uncle, 20 mins later smouldering radley bag leather, innards completely melted mash of lipsticks and biros and my diary was a right ole mess.
Cue household insurance claim today and i will receive £90 of debenhams vouchers to go buy a new bag (£140 value less £50 excess) Yay me!!

And in a completely unrelated incident, also on sunday, my oven which was working at lunchtime for baking potatoes, chose not to work at all at six o'clock. cue Big G's extended warranty and we are expecting a man to come tomorrow and hopefully fix it. Personally i think might ask him if he'll recommend a replacement, bung him a tenner!

Bunny, nice to hear from you again hun.

toto, be sure and have some R&R and don't overdo anything (except rest!) until you feel so much better.

Orlando bean, that does always make me smile!

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.

    Back from work :T

Gingerste!!!! I've been wondering about you over the last few weeks - I hadn't seen you around - hope life is cool.

The bedroom is all but finished. :T To give him his due the OH painted until nearly 11 last night and apart from a small piece of pipe needing glossing and 1 wall having a second coat as it dried a bit 'smeary' in the heat, it's all done. Pick up the sofabed at 7 - OH is apparently borrowing a van and the carpet is being fitted on Monday.........fingers crossed it's still at the shop:eek:

God knows where the sofabed will go until Monday - my house already looks like a cross between a bric a brac shop and a down town auction house with everything stashed around the place from the spare bedroom!!

    How you doing?

I'm doing great thanks. Just one exam left (plus some coursework, a design project and a dissertation), and I'll be back to full time again. Being a student is stressful  , if only for financial reasons!
