Yep, no problems, I took Ugly Betty too and from the US with me (and never got chance to watch it!) xGone ... or have I?0

In they are home movies and alike then there should be no problems.
Depending in the mood of the guys at security they may ask customs to take a look in your case for the disks (in case you are taking pirated movies with you.) Then at worst they will take the disks into an other room and flick through them on a DVD player just to be sure...Laters

You'll be tickety boo unless you're dressed in all black and bouncing about screaming "NINJA" at the top of your voice and chucking the dvds around like they are shuriken.

Ooooh no!!!!
Transportation of pirated dvds is not a matter for customs if they are going eu to eu as you will be, if anyone is called it will be the police, in all reality though unless the videos contain some fella with a big beard and a tea towel on his head banging on about western infidels its really not gonna be an issue.

thanks, the dvds are a combination of things-mainly TV programmes and some films as she is living abroad and missing things, maybe I would be best to just post them to my friend, as I am not sure if the TV etc is copyrighted

Dont stress about it, its pointless wasting money on sending them, if you really think anyone is gona be interested in your dvds, unless your going down the ninja route, then your mistaken.
If push comes to shove tell em the bear said it would be ok, and I should know.

I agree with the bear, the only time I would be worried is if I was going to a country with certain religious laws.
For instance, it is illegal to take !!!!!! into The Maldives, and they confiscate all discs going in just in case (you supposedly get them on your way back, not sure if that happens in practice or not).Gone ... or have I?0 -
thank you for all your help-I will just bring them with me, am sure it will be fine
My OH doesnt know what I am worrying about lol 0 -
Well thats the maldives off of my holiday list then.
Common sense is always the way forward if you have hundreds of dvds you may get a pull but a few 10 or 20 and no one will bat an eye lid, and remember if anyone does ask just remember to tell em you're a ninja and they will understand.
Happy Holidays
