Reclaim Bank Charges Query

I have just registered on this site and am looking for some advise, My story is as follows....<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
some time ago approx 7-8 months ago i followed the step by step sample letters and tried to reclaim bank charges, I then sent off a cheque for £10 and received my past 5 years statements. After totaling them up i then followed the next step and sent a letter back asking for the full amount back, I then received a letter back from my bank saying that there was some test case and they were instructed to ignore my request. The next part could be my fault as up until now i never pursued it and have mislaid all my statements and details of the total amount of charges.<o:p></o:p>
Does this now mean that i need to send off another £10 and start from step one again???<o:p></o:p>
I have also recently been contacted by Reclaim 2 Gain who i am ashamed to say i handed over £39.99beliving that i would receive 100% of all my charges back within 8 weeks at no extra cost to myself, after searching around about them i realised I have made a big mistake there and I am sorry to say I have been had. Is there anything else I can do now or have I blown the best chance I had of ever seeing my money again???<o:p></o:p>
