Mileage claims - getting that extra bit of money

Hi,
I'm new to all this and really hoping that someone can help (and apologies if this thread is in the wrong section!)
I do a lot of travelling in my current job and whilst my employers are great and pay me 35p per mile, I know that the government will make up the difference to 40p (so I would get an extra 5p per mile).
As mentioned I do a lot of driving, so this extra money would be really handy (I'd currently be owed a couple of hundred).
I was just wondering if anyone knew what form it is that you need to complete and where I can get one from - I've tried to look on HM Revenue website but it all gets soooo confusing after a bit!
Look forward to hearing from someone
Thanks very much!!!!!! (apologies for all the waffle - hope it makes sense!!!!)

Erm. No they won't. Otherwise why would any empolyer pay anything? they'd just let employees claim it off the taxman.
What you can claim is the tax you paid on the 5p difference. So you can get 1p per mile back from the taxman.
1000 miles = £10.00
Only for up to 10,000 miles, anything over that is set at 25p a mile.0
