2 months back I planned to do my kitchen renovation and selected "the kitchen door people" based in Birmingham, for changing my doors with addition of 2 new units.
To my thick headidness, I payed them the full amount without checking the goods. Now the problem is that they have neither delivered me complete units and they have also left the installation incomplete.
Earlier on they were attending the phone and making false promises that they will finish the job in1-2weeks but now they have stopped attending the phone calls.
They have moved their previous work place and I am left with only a podtal address for contact. They only sent a letter about change of their location and slight delay in work completion.
Its been 2 months now that I am waiting for them.I have no proof that they haven't delivered me all the items,I am really worried that what should I do now?
Can any one of you help me?Pleaseeeeeeee!

Oh no taney
they sound like a load of cowboys, get in touch with trading standards? I'm not very good with things like this, i hope some one else comes along to help you in a min! :starmod: :staradmin :starmod:I gave up jogging for my health when my thighs kept rubbing together and setting fire to my knickers:starmod: :staradmin :starmod:0 -
I am sorry to hear about that Taney... ther eis nothing worse than having your kitchen or your bathroom under eternal rework...
Something similar happened to my parents with the bathroom double-glazed window. a guy came along measured it went away, 2 weeks later we got a window delivered and it was too small (the floor to ceiling height in our place was 3 whooping meters, so pretty obvious it was too small).
It all ended up in the small claims court and we got the guy to provide the right size for the price paid for the smaller window. LUSH... all at the expense of us freezing cold when coming out of the shower (the window was covered with plastic but it was still cold).
All I am saying is, go to CAB, and try to get a real address for those B@stards, try this postcode finder: http://www.gov.im/post/postal/postcodes/postcodes.asp
Track them down and if you cant then take them to court..."Don't cry, Don't Raise your Eye
It's only teenage wasteland"

THANX A LOT to all of you..
Sine I have no proof that I have recived all the goods, I am reluctant to take any action. The contract T&C also say that they won't accept any liability for delays in delivery or installation although they will use all reasonable efforts to comply with the quoted dates.
They have a website and the phone number over there doesn't work .One number for making a brochure request is given over there.I called that. The person who attended said that he is not concerned with the installation dept. and works very far from there and he doesn't know that what is the problem. The contact number which he gave me also doesn't work.
Their web add is https://www.tkdp.co.uk
The only address which is valid now is

I checked out Companies House, and it came up with this.

There is a listing for The Kitchen Door People Limited which is the 52 Blucher one etc, there is also a listing for The Kitchen Door Company Limited which is also 52 Blucher etc, maybe related listing perhaps. Hi,
I often find that a kind offer to recommend their company through Watchdog and Rogue Traders concentrates the mind wonderfully.

Citizen's Advice Bureau may be worth contacting if no joy with the Trading Standards people.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0
