The email (for current blue cardholders) says new terms & conditions start from 16 September - presumably the earliest you can use if for cashback @ 1 percent?
I assume that if cashback worked for items already purchased with a blue card it will continue to work with those items using the new Money card? (no new explicit restrictions yet?)
The fifty days interest-free (was 45) I assume we will continue to get our statements on the same day of the month as before (mine was the 18th) and that the due date/dd collection date will be put back by Egg without being asked to the later date? (rather than bringing statement dates foward, for instance).....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0 -
Just noticed it says up to 50 days interest free on purchases, not 50 days interest free. Can't find anywhere that tells you what qualifies for the interest free period tho, and cant find any mention of it at all in the legal info section when i'm logged into my account.
A little worried i'm getting charged interest now..
Soz if im being thick, i'm new to this lark.0 -
up to 50 days applies because you get x days from your statement to pay without any interest.
So if you buy something the first day of your new statement, you will get 50 days interest free, if you buy something else a week later, you will get 43 days interest free, etc etc.
Please note, you only get these interest free periods if you pay off your balance in FULL by the payment date on your statement.

Sorry -im not sure if i totally understand this either
what would happen if i didnt load any money on to the card -- used it as a normal credit card, would i have 50 days to pay off the balance before interest was charged? (while earning the min 1% cashback)0 -

You would have UP TO 50 days interest free, as explained above if you use it like a normal CC. the 50 days starts on the first day of your statement month, anything bought at the end of your statement month you would get approx 20 days interest free.
It is a normal credit card with 1% cashback, it also has the ability to prepay and get decent interest on your positive balance.

Does anyone know if the 2% cashback intro period still stands with new applications (should be between November 16th and December 10th according to Martin's recent article)? I just applied for this card today but cannot see 2% cashback mentioned anywhere on the Egg web site. Has this offer has been removed
?

I had wondered exactly the same as I couldn't see it anywhere on the site when I applied a week ago, so sent them a secure message. Happily they replied saying all cardholders old or new would be eligible!

I believe so, as it has a section where it states cashback accrued so far. I'm not 100% sure though, as I haven't had my first Egg Money statement yet.0
