I have alot of anger inside me at the moment due to many NPBs and now....people copying my auctions - and not one, not two, not three, but FOUR people!!! I saw one that looked similar to mine so I clicked on it and what a surprise, it WAS mine! and word for word too with the same title and pictures of course. I was fuming! All the time and effort I put into my auctions just for someone to copy and paste it all. So I decided to search for my item title in the search bar and would you have guessed....FIVE items appear (one was mine) - I just could not believe my eyes!!!

I e-mailed all of the sellers and reported them all to eBay - it just isn't fair. Some of the replies I got were ridiculous!! One person said "if you look my phone has been on before yours so how could i of possiably copied you want to get your facts right before i report you to ebay for copying my listing" - this was because I had already had my auction on 4 or 5 times before the current one - he accused me of copying his!!!! I'M SO MAD!! >:(

So beware people....check to see if people are nicking all of your hard work for free - although I do wonder what you can actually do to stop it??  ???

it's just wording, don't get so worked up over it! i borrow from people and i'm sure they borrow from me too when i create things from scratch, that's the way of ebay.

one solution though might be to host a picture in your auction, then find people who've copied it and change the picture (i.e you have a picture link to https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/jps/ebay.jpg as a picture of the phone you're selling, then when your item finishes and people are stealing your pic, you just change the image to an offensive pic with the words I WILL RIP YOU OFF, DO NOT BID)

That is genious!!!!! ;D Might give that a go now!

I know it is only words but I do put in alot of time and effort so it is very annoying when 5 people just copy the ENTIRE auction from me without even asking. Thanks for the tip Andrew! ;D

It is irritating! I have seen people copy my auction and theirs had the bloomin bids!!!....wheres the fair in that?! I love your suggestion andrew_b6k, how dare they use your web hosting pic as well!!! I prob wouldn't mind if tey wait til mine sold etc or even asked but just to go and steal it grrrr...... and the people who say they don't mind then it probs haven't happened to them yet cos I used to think, whats the big deal?!

I used to copy pics from either ebay or other sites as until recently i didnt have a digi camera (thanks Argos!!)...but otherwise i prefer my own words...
