Also remember that the shorts will only be for a few weeks then it will be trousers again, they probably won't fit next year. I've not bought them for my 4 year old as he falls in the playground too often, he wouldn't have any knees left.

Lol - I can't wait to get mine into shorts as he never has any knees left in his trousers anyway - just holes from falling over!

My son started wearing his shorts again this week - they are the slightly longer length combat ones from Next with an adjustable waist and they are still fine on him. I found myself in a similar position last year as the op and didn't have time to go shopping and Next do next day home delivery, yes they were more expensive but there is a definite difference in quality.

I find that my boys just seem to get taller, so while they outgrow their trousers and they look silly above the ankle, if the shorts are a bit short no-one really notices.

Maybe I ought to try chopping the legs off of the trousers and 'make' shorts.

Anyway, sarahabutair - I hope you found your shorts and that your son had a fab first day at nursery!

    Hi,

My son starts nursery on Thursday, just been for a meeting with his teacher and it turns out he needs a uniform (I'd previously been told he wouldn't). He needs grey school shorts, the pull up type.

I've tried Woolworths but they had none (it's a bad time of year for finding uniform!), does anyone know where else has them? He also needs white polo shirts but they should be easy to find.

    Thanks!

Try Matalan, Ethel Austin (if any left open), Woolies online, any local markets near you?
:o Keep trying.........................what else is there to do? :o
