Applying to rent a house whilst in temporary work

Hi all,

I've had to leave my previous accommodation due to seperation with my partner so I need to fastly hunt down some new accommodation. Problem is that my current job is on a temporary contract that ends in July and started in October but I am currently seeking other employment, would I be denied because of this?

I've never been out of work before, and this is the first ever job I've done which was on temporary contract and I dont have any doubt I'll find other work (permanent this time) but will the agents deny just because of this? I've rented many houses in the past and never had any problems.

Thanks

You will need a guarantor such as a parent, most likely.

How old are you and how much savings do you have.

If you are in your 50s I doubt your parents will be able to act as guarantors.

If you have savings you could just pay 6 months up front.

Have you consider being a lodger for a few months until you get yourself settled... takes all the stress out of moving, transfering bills, council tax etc.
Bankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.

Hi, I'm 26, dont really have any savings as my two kids dont let me save lol.

Yeah I have considering lodging somewhere but it affects me having the kids weekends and stuff because it's far from suitable accommodation for them.

    Thanks
