Most hotels with swimming pools tend to be further out of Prague which is not ideal if you are only going for a few days - much nicer just to be able to walk from the hotel to the sites, so try and stick to Prague 1 addresses. There are hotels in the centre with pools but they tend to be quite expensive. I found this entry on Tripadvisor for the Marriott hotel which someone got for $100 per night:

Below is the page for all hotels in Prague on Tripadvisor and it's well worth looking at some of the comments. I've stayed in Na Kampe hotel which was lovely but no pool:

I go to Prague quite regularly and usually stay in an apartment booked through these people:

You get a lot of space for your money and a kitchen which is always useful and they provide free or cheap transfers to and from the airport, depending how long you stay.

One last thing, just remember that although you get great views from accommodation near the castle, it's one hell of a slog to walk up there last thing at night and difficult/expensive to reach by taxi! Also, avoid Wenceslas Square - very seedy and unattractive.
    Have a great trip!

The Renaissance (directly opposite Marriott, same owners) has a small indoor pool/sauna/steam which is pretty good. They're both nice hotels, but not cheap.
You can try Priceline as mustgetoutmore says, or look for cheaper tourist packages with a weekend stay. Weekday prices are not slashed much, due to the business use.

I've stayed at both the Renaissance and the Marriott and they are both superb. I got them through Priceline for around £60 per night. I never used the leisure facilities in either because there is so much to do in Prague, there just wasn't the time!

    Have a great trip.

Went to Prague last Feb and stayed in a hotel called the Andels Hotel or Hotal Andels (can't remember). Was a very nice modern hotel with easy access to all attractions. Was quite cheap too considering!

I was there last weekend and we stayed in the Ariston - about 5-10 minute tram ride to the east of the centre. Some of this hotel is recently refurbished and cost us £300 for return flights from East Mids with BMI Baby and 3 nights bed and breakfast. Pay no more than 600 Krona (£12) for a taxi to or from the airport.

A 72 hour tram pass which gets you anywhere in the city was 220K (£5.50).

Beer in the central bars was roughly 40K (£1) but opposite the hotel was 17K (about 45p).

Beautiful city apart from graffiti is everywhere.

Try your local Co-Op travel agent - we booked through them as noone else good get close to the 3* hotel range we wanted with flights.
