Hi
My current family box is starting to show signs that it may be on the way out soon.
Can anyone point me in the direction of good deal on a reasonable brand/model?
Have posted this in other forums. There really ought to be one for main consumer appliances deals. Quite a surprising and obvious 'gap' on this site.

Wot, no suggestions?
Well, blow me down, how unexpected! In the circumstances, it might just have been a good idea to post this in more than one forum. How silly of me not to have thought of such a tactic....0 -
Yes try the grabbit forum haven't stop you asking I want a LCD before now
You got answers already surely one thread should suffice instead of 4 threads you posted today including grabbit forum (some threads removed now)
37"+ LCD TV - suggestions? 0 -
Poppycat, do you not think it would have been a basic courtesy to PM me and explain your actions?
I understand why you feel you had to do this - just as I hope you will understand that there is a basic problem with there being no single forum on which to discuss good deals. I also hope this illustrates the need for you or some other mod to contact the managment team and get this sorted.0 -
What actions would that be?
Why would I want to PM you?
As I said you posted in the grabbit forum too, there is a sticky there about posting in grabbit.
Sticky: Posting On The Grab It Board
Here are a few pointers for posting on the Grab It Board.
One thread is sufficient yes it could equally be in DIY, tech or wannabe but not 4 threads as the case was early in various parts of the forumCharlton_King wrote: »Poppycat, do you not think it would have been a basic courtesy to PM me and explain your actions?

Am looking for minimum 37 inch. Anyone noticed anything good about? Searching the forum produces not a lot.0

this top of range panny 42" plasma is a steal , http://www.soundandvisiononline.com/moreinfo/index.asp?product_id=15376
this hitachi one is even a better deal . 42" http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=HITA-L42VP01
another panasonic 42" cracking dealhttp://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=HITA-L42VP01
THIS FINAL ONE IS THE BEST BARGAIN FROM RICHER SOUNDS . ITS AN AWESOME 50" PLASMA FROM PANASONIC . I WOULD GO FOR THIS AS IT TICKS ALL THE RIGHT BOXES. LOOKS http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=HITA-L42VP010 -
I bought one at RicherSounds recently. Remember that most of the better deals you see on their website will not be available at most stores as they are one-off ex-display models. Fortunately, I did manage to get one and am very happy with it. Had I not got that, I would have gone for a JVC 1080p 42in with freeview from Sainsburys for £649. Alternatively, if quality is not your concern, Currys has a Matsui 42in for £449 - probably one of the cheapest 42in HD tv available to buy.0
