OR interview

Hi Annie
My OR never really went into what Id actually spent it on- he just referred to the SOA and I confirmed what Id put(consolidation, general living expense, etc)- I wasnt asked "where did that £200 go, what did you spend that £300 on etc etc".
I had a fair idea of what had gone where, and had built the debt up over a number of years. But he never really went into any great detail- if youre not sure just say you dont know/cant remember.
Dont worry too much about the interview, most of them seem to be ok. It is easier said than done though, I was having a major stress out the day my OR rang, but he was really nice and it was nowhere near as hideous as I thought it would be. I mainly felt embaressed at having to explain to a complete stranger just how rubbish with credit I had been.0 -

That sums up my experience too, no matter how often I read it on here I was convinced I was going to be interrogated like a criminal suspect, but it wasn't like that at all, just the embarrassment of owning up to how silly I'd been.0 -

Its a weird feeling having to explain all your financial hiccups....although your not the first they've seen & you'll not be the last ! once its all over with you'll wonder what the fuss was aboutWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Hi everyone,
Well I survived my OR interview last Wednesday and I can't tell you how terrified I was, it took just over an hour and I must say that the lady who did the interview was really nice but it didn't really help as I felt dreadful. I just hope that this is the end , she tells me the OR will write to all my creditors and though i may get some communication from them not to be pushed into offering to pay them anything as she thinks that my income will be too low for me to pay anything out.
She wants statements and all my cards and will write to me re this interview and send me an sae to send the cards etc to her. Does this usually mean the end of the matter or will I still get agro.
Does the OR now write and tell me what their decision is and whether I will have to pay anything or whether they will need any more info from me.
I really don't know how I would have coped without the help from all you great friends out there. Lots of love and hugs for your kindness .:A0 -

Will any luck that will be it:D . I have not heard from my OR since the interview last dec. They write to you if they want to start an IPA as you have to sign that you agree to it. If no IPA you hear nothing. As the time between interview and no contact gets longer and longer the more you relax.I would guess that 90% of people never hear from their OR again. Now relax,it's over:j DFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Glad thats over for you Annie.:T It really is the worst part of going BR, but now its all (fairly) plain sailing:DThe first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter
