Phone insurance hijack!!!

Im looking for some help!!! Ive just received a new mobile phone from phones for you, when i received it it came with one months FREE insurance which i intended to cancel as i can get it through my bank account but with all the insurers battling it out i have been receiving phone calls constantly.
So today i received another call assuming it was the insurer i am already with i answered a few of their questions regarding how the phone was working etc after a few minutes they were telling me about their special deals and still thinking it was the same company i agreed assuming i could cancel it anyway through direct debit but at the end of the call they notified me that they would take £79.99 from my account, i called back and they said they would make it £40 this month and the another £40 next month (money i really can't afford!!!)
Has this happened to any one else and is there anything i can do??? I feel so stupid!!!
